When you stop exercising your brain is affected very severely, reducing your exercise slows the flow of blood to 8 regions of your brain.

One of the affected region is called the hippocampus, which is responsible for memory formation,
storage and retrieval, with in 10 years, you'll notice a reduction in the volume of your brain, without any increase in the density of your neurons, this shrinkage eventually leads to mental decline. Lack of exercise also increase your risk if Neurodegenerative disease. 

Neurodegenerative disease: Neurodegeneration is the progressive loss of structure or function of neurons, including death of neurons. Many neurodegenerative diseases – including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and Huntington's – occur as a result of neurodegenerative processes. symptoms are
Some of the more common symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases include:
  1. Memory loss.
  2. Forgetfulness.
  3. Apathy.
  4. Anxiety.
  5. Agitation.
  6. A loss of inhibition.
  7. Mood changes
150 Minutes of moderate aerobic activity is recommended per week, or at least 75, minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week. Exercise prevent the immune system from declining in old age as well, In general, the immune system declines by about 2-3% a year from out 20s, which is why older people are more susceptible to infections. As well as conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and cancer.
