The psychological impact is important because, as far as, Fasting helps in patience, tolerance, forbearance. It helps a persons to increase his self control, his self of worth, it helps in increase his confidence, also self training and discipline is improved. Fasting helps in conditioning of the heart body, mind and soul, it improves overall dimension of human being, it helps in behavioral changes and the change in behavior is quite difficult, a person use to particular behavior it's not easy task to change it, it means striving against your own soul. So change the habits is one of the most difficult which fasting can do, if you do not strive against your soul how you can strive against enemy. So the fasting helps in the dimension, so that's why fasting made for strive of your own soul.

 We have been made to believe that he average human should consume three meals a day plus snakes and drinks but the truth is that this amount of food is not necessary to maintain a healthy body and mind. Food companies and pharmaceutical industries, push for excessive food consumption  and order to make an ever growing profit, The bottom line is that healthy people who exercise and engage in fasting are not profitable enough for these billion dollar companies. The sad reality is that many people today lack of self control and do not eat out of hunger but purely for the comfort and enjoyment of food. this has sparked a rise in obesity and many other diseases.

The PROPHET (P.B.U.H) emphasized the habit of eating less as a method of preventing sickness and disease. He said "Nothing is worse then person who fills his stomach it should be enough for the son of ADAM to have few bites to satisfy his hunger if he wishes more it should be one third for his food one third for his liquids and one third for his breath"
